WEATHER UPDATE FROM US NWS LAKE CHARLES 5.1.24

Good morning. Another thunderstorm complex expected to bring an increased risk for heavy rainfall and possible flooding late tonight into Thursday. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for portions of the area from 1 AM through 7 PM Thursday for areas along and north of I-10. Also, an increased risk for severe weather over Southeast Texas early Thursday morning, with damaging winds the greatest severe weather threat.
